Residency

We want our premises to be used for artistic activities as many days a year as possible. In January 2014, we therefore started Turteatern Residency, which means that during concentrated periods we make our premises available for in-depth study in the performing arts. The length of the residency has varied over the years from one week to two months, and has been for projects in production phase as well as development phase or for research purposes.

Do you want to apply for a residency?
We accept applications for residency on an ongoing basis and provide space when there is space on the stages. Write briefly about the project, desired length of residency period and between which dates. For artistic exchange, we also encourage the residency to have an internal or public meeting at the end of the period.

Basic conditions that we offer at the residency:

Large stage: black box (14 x 11 m) or Small stage: black box (8 x 9 m).

Basic PA for music performances.

Possibility to scan, print and copy.

Access to kitchen, fridge, coffee/tea and pleasant lunch company (:

Turteatern’s technical staff can be helpful with simple questions regarding technology, but as a rule the residency is responsible for having its own technology and technicians on site if the project requires it. Communicate what technical needs the residency has in the application and we will respond to what needs we can meet.

For questions and/or the application, contact artistic director Marie Nikazm Bakken, marie@turteatern.se or operations manager Siri Nyke, siri@turteatern.se.
