In collaboration with Ater FondazioneRegione Emilia-Romagna  and the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm (IIC), Turteatern invites the award-winning Italian theatre company Motus for a unique guest performance!
Motus will guest perform with the project Everything Burns, which features the most controversial female figures in Greek tragedy inTutto Brucia and its two spin-offs You Were Nothing but Wind and Of The Nightingale I Envy The Fate. The project poses the highly political question of which bodies are worth mourning but also the possible emerge of a different world beyond the violence as we know it. For the end of the world is but the end of a world…  Now it’s time for the Swedish premiere at Turteatern and the second time that the triptych is played in its entirety.

Since 1991, Motus has established itself as one of the most prominent and influential theatre companies in Italy and worldwide. Freethinkers, Motus has performed all over the world, from Under the Radar (NYC) to Trans Amériques and PuSh Festival (Canada), from Santiago a Mil (Chile) to Fiba Festival (Argentina), from Adelaide Festival (Australia) to MITsp (Brazil), from Taipei Arts Festival (Taiwan) to Hong Kong International Black Box Festival, as well as all over Europe.
By working with the visual power of the performing arts and exploring what borders – physical, geographical, mental – actually are, and what the freedom to cross them means, Motus has established itself as a leading, innovative and independent company in contemporary performing arts.
In connection with the performances the collaborating partners ICC, Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) and Turteatern offer the audience opportunities to deepen their understanding of the Everything Burns project and Motus’ artistic practice, as well as the chance to mingle with the theatre company, in a series of additional events.

The guest performance is presented with support from the Swedish Arts Council and MiC.
