Marcus Lindeen
Marcus Lindeen är dramatiker och regissör och arbetar med både film och teater.
Sedan han tog examen från regilinjen på Dramatiska Institutet 2008 har han regisserat fyra filmer samt skrivit och regisserat flera pjäser som har spelats på bland annat Dramaten i Stockholm, Schaubühne i Berlin och Théâtre de Gennevilliers i Paris. Filmerna Ångrarna (2010) och Flotten (2018) har båda belönats med Prix Europa för bästa europeiska dokumentär. Flotten har visats på över femtio filmfestivaler och haft biopremiär i elva länder. Scenografin till filmen ställdes ut som en konstinstallation på Centre Pompidou i Paris, där Marcus numera driver teaterkompaniet Wild Minds tillsammans med dramaturgen och översättaren Marianne Ségol.
Hans senaste pjäs, Memory of Mankind, hade premiär på Kunstenfestivaldesarts i Bryssel i maj och är en samproduktion mellan flera europeiska teatrar och festivaler, däribland Wiener Festwochen i Wien, Festival d’Automne i Paris och Piccolo Teatro i Milano, där Marcus är en av fem internationella husregissörer.
År 2024 doktorerade Marcus på Stockholms konstnärliga högskola med projektet Iscensatta samtal. Forskningen, som bestod av filmen Flotten och pjäsen Det osynliga äventyret, presenterades i januari 2024 på Göteborgs filmfestival i samarbete med Göteborgs Stadsteater, som bjöd in den franska pjäsen som gästspel. I samband med detta släpptes även boken Iscensatta samtal, som bygger på hans arbetsböcker.

Marcus Lindeen is a playwright and director who works with both film and theatre. Since graduating from the Dramatic Institute in 2008, he has directed four films and written and directed several plays that have been performed at, among others, Dramaten in Stockholm, Schaubühne in Berlin and Théâtre de Gennevilliers in Paris. The movies Ångarna (2010) and Flotten (2018) have both been awarded the Prix Europa for best European documentary. The raft has been screened at over fifty film festivals and had its theatrical premiere in eleven countries. The scenography for the film was exhibited as an art installation at the Center Pompidou in Paris, where Marcus now runs the theater company Wild Minds together with dramaturge and translator Marianne Ségol.
His latest play, Memory of Mankind, premiered at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels in May and is a co-production between several European theaters and festivals, including Wiener Festwochen in Vienna, Festival d’Automne in Paris and Piccolo Teatro in Milan, where Marcus is one of five international house directors.
In 2024, Marcus received his doctorate at Stockholm’s School of the Arts with the project Iscensatta samtal (Staged Conversations). The research, which consisted of the film Flotten and the play Det osynliga äventyret (The Invisible Adventure), was presented in January 2024 at the Gothenburg Film Festival in collaboration with Gothenburg City Theatre, which invited the French play as a guest performance. In connection with this, the book Iscensatta samtal, which is based on his workbooks, was also released.
